Colour, pattern and movement in nature has always inspired my work. My kiln-formed glassware has been heavily influenced by the colour and movement that can be observed in water, fire, earth and sky. The pieces are made from layers of float glass with the colour sandwiched in between. The glass goes through two firings – the first to fuse the glass and the second to slump into the bisque or stainless steel mould which creates the shape. Each piece is unique and I am happy to do commissions.
