Diane Evans

Diane is influenced by her environment and has chosen to live in the Yorkshire Dales, taking inspiration from the breathtaking scenery that she visits and re-visits in all seasons.  She works directly in the environment and from photographs, completing paintings back in the studio.

Her work is concerned with landscape and she was initially drawn to using an earthy palette but is beginning to experiment with more vibrant colours. Diane builds texture to replicate uneven and irregular surfaces and uses oil, acrylics, charcoal and chalk depending on the subject and form.
