I’m a freelance illustrator from Ilkley. I graduated from Bath School of Art and Design in 2016, following a year at Leeds College of Art.
I work with traditional materials such as crayon, ink and paint. I also love print processes such as screen print.
I continue to explore my practice of illustration through ceramics as I take part in short courses at Leeds College of Art. I had the honour of being selected for Creative Review’s Talentspotting initiative. I was selected as 1 of 15 Art and Design Graduates from across the UK. My work appeared on over 1000 JCDecaux digital screens across the country. Here’s an article about the project: https://www.creativereview.co.uk/cr-and-jcdecaux-bring-graduate-artwork-to-screens-across-the-country/.
I love to have fun with the work that I make, often focusing on nonsense with the aim to make people smile. My influences often come from my own experiences and interests – such as my rugby club the Bradford Bulls and the fans and characters that follow the sport. Most recently my work has been used on 6M long banners and in the prospectus of Bath Spa University. My illustration will also be printed and sold on notebooks following a competition with The London Illustration fair.
