I have been working professionally as an artist since 1989 in still life, portrait and landscape. I developed a technique in pure painting, freely building
a classical composition directly onto the canvas in paint only, without the use of drawn or planned outlines. Since 2005 I have been working on moorland landscapes, inspired by Ilkley Moor and the landscape around Bolton Abbey which is an on going passion.
A collection of my still life paintings are published internationally by Canadian Art Prints and I plan to have originals from the series at the Ilkley Art Trail this year, which would be exclusive to the Trail as I have not made these available anywhere else, along with some new moorland paintings.
