I love working with silver clay, because it is recycled, lovely to work with, and gives beautiful results.

Silver clay is made up of recycled silver from mobile phones, surgical instruments, old film stock etc, suspended in a non-toxic binder- clay.

It can be moulded and shaped just like clay, but when heated, the clay burns away and what is left is 99.9% fine silver. It’s like magic! And the transformation from grey to silver is fascinating every time.

My influences are often found in the garden or on walks, or among discarded or broken bits and pieces, which can be the inspiration for wearable keepsakes.

Before becoming interested in making jewellery I was (and am) a complementary therapist and exercise instructor.Being creative is a great tonic and very relaxing, and balances out the other parts of my life .
