Suzan Bridge

Painting is a huge part of my life and my artistic passion is flowers. I love the vibrancy and colour variations and I try and capture a sense of this in my ‘free flow’ watercolour painting by using the water and translucent paint to move around the paper and create rudimentary forms and then adding details to make the picture come alive.

I additionally work in the same free flow style on the medium of silk, which I then embellish with machine embroidery, beadwork and extra textures to create exciting three dimensional paintings.

I have previously (2013) exhibited in the IIkley Art Trail, had a one woman show on ‘free flow flower paintings’ at the Art Shop – Ilkley (2014) and held workshops and demonstrations at numerous venues including the Ilkley Art Show, Menston Art Group and Headingley Art Group.
